Volunteer Opportunity
Nevada COVID-19 Aging Network (CAN) Needs Your Help Nevada CAN mobilizes available resources to offer elder Nevadans access to medical services, social support, and daily essentials in their home. Nevada CAN aims to ensure that elders are safe, that their basic daily requirements and medical needs are met, and that they are not socially isolated during this time of physical distancing. Volunteers are needed to provide virtual social support. Would you like to lend a hand? • Make check-in calls to vulnerable seniors twice a week or host virtual social gathering with a group of seniors. • Volunteers are also needed to deliver essential supplies to the front doors of seniors' homes. Resources for Northern Nevada During COVID-19 Pandemic
In an effort to share knowledge, the Community Foundation staff have compiled a regularly updated list of resources for you. Featuring food programs, family programs, and programs addressing basic needs, news and information. We are inspired by the notes and calls from people asking if we can connect them with ways they can help. We've been asked about ways to volunteer such as making masks or calling isolated seniors, and asked who is helping different populations? We also answer website comments and emails from people in dire straits, confused and feeling desperate. Nonprofits are hurting even while they are serving and helping those who need it most. Please share this list link with anyone who can use it. Resource List

Statewide Nevada COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund
You can help increase the supply of PPE for the state of Nevada by contributing to the Nevada COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. This fund was established for the COVID-19 Task Force overseen by Gov. Steve Sisolak's office and the Nevada Health Response Center and is managed by the Nevada Community Foundation in Las Vegas. The sole mission of the Nevada COVID-19 Task Force, as directed by Governor Sisolak, is to assist with meeting the monumental and continued need for personal protective equipment and medical supplies for our medical community and first responders.
