Nicole Snyder Memorial Scholarship

The Nicole Snyder Memorial Sports Scholarship is open to Douglas High School seniors who are pursuing university, college, community college, trade school, technical institute, vocational training, or other post-secondary education programs. The award requires that you have earned a varsity letter or anticipate earning a varsity letter this school year and that you maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students receiving a full tuition scholarship from another source will not be eligible.

Applicants are asked to write a one-page essay on the following topic: “It isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it's the pebble in your shoe." - Muhammad Ali.  Explain what this quote means to you.

Please include a copy of your student transcript, two letters of recommendation (one from a coach/athletic advisor, the other from a teacher/advisor, employer, pastor or leader of the organization where you volunteer), and a one-page autobiography, along with your essay and attached application.

Deadline to Apply: April 1st.
Please submit the attached application, essay, student transcript, two letters of recommendation, and autobiography by April 1st to Ms. Kristina Erb in the Douglas High School scholarship office or mail to:
