Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible?
Executive Directors, CEOs, and nonprofit leaders who have been in their role for three years or less and are looking to strengthen their executive leadership skills.
When do applications open?
Applications are typically announced in early December each year. Join our email list below to receive updates about future cohorts.
What is the program commitment?
The Executive Director Leadership Launchpad is a 10-month leadership development program designed to foster meaningful learning, collaboration, and long-term growth. Participants commit to attending one in-person learning session each month, featuring approximately three hours of interactive instruction, peer learning, and practical application.
In addition to the monthly sessions, participants are strongly encouraged to participate in optional virtual small-group coaching sessions. These smaller cohorts provide personalized support, accountability, and a space to discuss real-time leadership challenges collaboratively.
Because the program is built on trust, peer relationships, and shared learning, participants are expected to attend and actively engage throughout the full 10-month experience. Consistent participation ensures both individual growth and a valuable experience for the entire cohort.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost to participate. The Northern Nevada Endowment Fund fully funds this program, and its donors are investing in strong local leadership and a more resilient nonprofit sector.
The estimated value of this program is $1,500 per participant.
How are participants selected?
Applications are reviewed through a competitive selection process based on factors such as leadership readiness, organizational commitment, demonstrated need, and the applicant's ability to actively participate in the cohort.
