Community Foundation of Northern Nevada Announces Christina Sarman as Vice President of Donor Relations

Reno, Nev. — The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada (CFNN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Sarman as Vice President of Donor Relations, bringing more than two decades of experience advancing philanthropic impact across higher education, healthcare, and mission-driven nonprofit organizations.

In her new role, Sarman will lead donor engagement and stewardship strategy for the Community Foundation, working closely with individual, family, and organizational philanthropists to align generosity with meaningful, lasting community impact. Her appointment reflects CFNN’s continued commitment to thoughtful stewardship, collaboration, and building enduring relationships that strengthen Northern Nevada.

“Christina brings an extraordinary depth of experience and a genuine commitment to donor-centered philanthropy,” said Eaton Dunkelberger, President and CEO, Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. “Her leadership and values align very well with our mission to inspire philanthropic partnership and to ensure generosity creates positive change across our region and beyond.”

Most recently, Sarman served as Senior Director of Development at Renown Health Foundation, where she led philanthropic initiatives supporting Women’s and Children’s Health for Northern Nevada’s only not-for-profit academic health system. Prior to Renown, she spent more than a decade at the University of Nevada, Reno, ultimately serving as Assistant Vice President of Development. In that role, she helped guide fundraising across multiple colleges and schools and contributed to the successful completion of the University’s historic $500 million Campaign for the New Nevada.

Throughout her career, Sarman has been guided by a belief in the power of philanthropy to transform lives and communities. She often credits her own educational journey—made possible in part through generous scholarship support—with inspiring her professional commitment to development and donor stewardship.

“The strength of Northern Nevada is rooted in its people and their collective commitment to the future of our community,” said Sarman. “I’m honored to join the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada and collaborate with donors to transform generosity into enduring impact across the region.”

Sarman is a proud alumna of the University of Nevada, Reno, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She and her family call Northern Nevada home, where they enjoy exploring the outdoors, skiing, and cheering on their children in their many activities.
