Press Release: Welcome to the Builder's Club

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Community Foundation of Elko County Welcomes New Members to Builder’s Club – Membership Open Until December 31, 2025

Elko, NV – December 11, 2025 – The Community Foundation of Elko County (CFEC) proudly announces the newest members of its Builder’s Club, a distinguished group of businesses and families committed to strengthening Elko County through generous contributions to the CFEC Endowment Fund. Since its inception, gifts to the Endowment have totaled more than $100,000, creating a permanent resource to address local needs for generations to come.

The Builder’s Club was established to provide immediate support for grantable dollars, separate from the Legacy Society, which focuses on planned future gifts. Membership requires a minimum gift of $10,000 from businesses or $5,000 from families during the membership drive period.

New Builder’s Club Members in 2025:

  • Bob and Kerry Aguirre
  • Jon Wahrenbrock
  • Marie Manning
  • William and Vivian Wright

These new members join the ranks of early supporters, including Barrick, Kinross Bald Mountain, Eide Bailley, and Elko Federal Credit Union, and families Kevin and Ann Marie Melcher and Kurt and Katie Neddenriep, and Kevin and Teri Gage who helped launch the Builder’s Club in 2018.

“The Community Foundation of Elko County is like a community savings account,” said CFEC Chair AJ Hull. “Funds are permanently invested in an endowment, and annual earnings are used to provide grants that address our community’s most pressing needs.”

Since 2018, CFEC has awarded grants to impactful programs such as Communities in Schools for its Peer Mentoring Program and the Committee Against Domestic Violence for its shelter. CFEC also partnered with the Elko Host Lions Club to establish the Camp Lamoille Recovery Fund, enabling tax-deductible gifts to rebuild this cherished community resource.

Opportunity to Join Ends December 31, 2025
Businesses and families still have time to make a lasting impact by joining the Builder’s Club before the membership drive closes on December 31, 2025. Contributions help ensure Elko County has a sustainable source of funding for local projects and nonprofits.
