PRESS RELEASE: Community Foundation of Elko County Closes Builder's Club Membership
Elko, NV – January 14, 2026 – The Community Foundation of Elko County (CFEC) proudly closes the chapter on its Builder’s Club membership drive, which officially ended on December 31, 2025. This initiative brought together businesses and families committed to creating a lasting impact in Elko County through generous contributions to the CFEC Endowment Fund.
Since its inception, the Builder’s Club has raised over $100,000, establishing a permanent resource to address local needs for generations to come. Unlike the Legacy Society, which focuses on planned future gifts, the Builder’s Club provided immediate support for grantable dollars during its membership period. Membership required a minimum gift of $10,000 from businesses or $5,000 from families, and the response from our community has been inspiring.
Our Final Builder’s Club Members
We are thrilled to welcome the last group of dedicated supporters who joined before the close of 2025:
- Albert H. Huber
- Bob and Kerry Aguirre
- Elko County Host Lions Club
- Jim and Amaya Winer
- Jon Wahrenbrock
- Marie Manning
- Marcus and Alissa Wood
- William and Vivian Wright
These generous families join the ranks of early champions, including Barrick, Kinross Bald Mountain, Eide Bailly, Elko Federal Credit Union, and families Kevin and Ann Marie Melcher, Kurt and Katie Neddenriep, and Kevin and Teri Gage, who helped launch the Builder’s Club in 2018.
A Legacy of Impact
“The Community Foundation of Elko County is like a community savings account,” said CFEC Chair AJ Hull. “Funds are permanently invested in an endowment, and annual earnings are used to provide grants that address our community’s most pressing needs.”
Since 2018, CFEC has awarded grants to programs such as Communities in Schools Peer Mentoring Program and the Committee Against Domestic Violence shelter and partnered with the Elko Host Lions Club to establish the Camp Lamoille Recovery Fund, enabling tax-deductible gifts to rebuild this cherished resource.
Looking Ahead
While the Builder’s Club has officially closed, the spirit of giving continues. Every contribution to the CFEC Endowment strengthens our ability to support local nonprofits and projects for years to come.
