The 2026 Scholarship Cycle Is Now Open!

Scholarship season is here!

We’re pleased to announce that the 2026 scholarship cycle officially opened on January 15, 2026! Each year, the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada is honored to help connect students with generous scholarship funds established by our donors—supporting educational goals and strengthening our community for the future. In 2026, the Community Foundation is proud to have over 40 local scholarship funds from local donors!

Important Dates to Know

Scholarship application deadlines range from February through May, depending on the individual scholarship fund. With a wide variety of scholarships available, each fund has its own eligibility criteria, award amounts, and areas of focus.

How to Apply

Students interested in applying are encouraged to begin by taking our Scholarship Eligibility Quiz. This quick and easy tool helps applicants identify which scholarship opportunities may be the best fit based on their background, interests, and goals—saving time and ensuring they don’t miss opportunities they qualify for.

Meet the Scholarship Team

We’re also excited to introduce two members of our Donor Relations team who help make the scholarship process possible:

  • Michelle Duggan, Donor Relations Officer, works closely with scholarship fundholders to ensure their philanthropic goals are honored and that each scholarship reflects the donor’s intent.
  • Carrie DeBarger, Scholarship Coordination Intern, supports the day‑to‑day administration of the scholarship program and assists students and fundholders throughout the application and review process.

Together, Michelle and Carrie are dedicated to providing a smooth, thoughtful, and meaningful scholarship experience for both fundholders and applicants.
