Matt Lazar serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, bringing over 15 years of extensive financial leadership to the organization. His diverse experience, ranging from guiding pre-revenue startups to supporting S&P 500 companies, provides a robust foundation for ensuring the Foundation's financial health and sustainability. As an ex-Big 4 CPA with a strong background in technical accounting, SOX implementations, and efficient close processes, Matt ensures the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance.

His expertise in systems integrations, vendor relations, treasury management, and process improvement is instrumental in streamlining the Foundation's financial operations, maximizing resources to further its philanthropic impact in Northern Nevada. Matt's significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, including private equity transactions, initial public offerings, due diligence, and integration, demonstrates a strategic and forward-thinking approach to financial management.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an Emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Outside of the financial world, Matt enjoys all that Northern Nevada has to offer with his wife and two children, including skiing the local slopes, backpacking, and wine tasting.
