Julia Kingston joined the Advisory Board of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada in 2018 and joined the Finance Committee the same year.

Julia is a certified public accountant and has worked in public accounting for over 20 years.  She currently owns and manages Kingston Tax Advisors, Ltd and is also an adjunct professor in the University of Nevada, Reno’s Master of Accountancy program. She previously served on the Girl Scouts of Sierra Nevada Board as Treasurer. She brings her knowledge of financial operations and budgets to the Community Foundation.

The Community Foundation has the potential to help a lot of people and make a big difference in a lot of different areas, Julia says.

Julia is originally from Australia and has lived in Reno for over 20 years. She is married and has a daughter, a stepson, and two cats. Julia enjoys running, swimming, sewing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
