Edwin Pereyra began serving on the Advisory Board of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada in 2020. He currently serves on the Finance Committee. He has served on the Professional Advisor Council for the past five years. He is also a member of the Community Foundation’s Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Edwin has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1990 and previously worked with Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton. He also worked as a controller for NML Insurance Company and Media West Affiliated Companies. He is currently the principal of his own tax firm specializing in business and personal taxation, business consulting, and accounting work for clients. He’s been involved with a number of nonprofits in the community, including the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business Administration, Truckee Meadows Tomorrow, Institute of Management Accountants, the Nevada Society of CPAs, and the Association for Financial Professionals of Northern Nevada.

Edwin brings his financial knowledge to the Community Foundation.

"Giving back to the community is important, and one way to do that is through the Community Foundation," Edwin says.

Edwin has lived in Reno for over 40 years. He is married and has one daughter. When he’s not working, Edwin enjoys traveling, hiking, working out, and watching films.
