Nonprofit Day at the Legislature

On Wednesday, March 19th, over 100 nonprofit leaders from across Nevada convened at the state legislature to celebrate the impactful partnerships among the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. This event underscored the vital role of collaborative efforts in addressing community needs and fostering a resilient Nevada.
The gathering brought together Nevada's nonprofit and legislative leaders to recognize the significance of coordinated strategies and collective action. Nonprofit Day at the Legislature highlighted the successes and ongoing potential of these alliances in creating lasting positive change across the state. At the press conference and the Assembly Foor Session, Legislators spoke in support of the nonprofits work in Nevada.
The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada was represented by three staff members who were able to stand alongside many of our nonprofit partners in support of the message. Among the day’s activities were sitting in the Assembly meeting, a Lunch and Learn with a panel of government agencies, committee meetings, and a tour of the State Library Archives. Overall, the day was very inspiring, with an overwhelming reminder that when we work together, we can achieve impactful outcomes for our community and our most vulnerable groups.
