Community Foundation of Elko County Awarded Annual Grants at Elko County Fair

The Community Foundation of Elko County announced its 2017 grant recipients at a ceremony attended by Fund Advisory Committee members Teri Gage and Kerry Aguirre, along with grant recipients Sarah Goicoechea of Communities in Schools and Marianne McKown of the Committee Against Domestic Violence.

Community Foundation of Elko County endowment has generated $2,000 to support Elko County. This year's grants will support two vital community programs: the Spring Creek High School Peer Mentoring Program and provide meals for women and children under protection at the Harbor House shelter.

Established in 2015, the Community Foundation maintains a permanent endowment to address Elko County's current and future needs. The Community Foundation grows through ongoing donations and planned gifts, ensuring sustainable support for local causes.
