According to news sources, as of this morning, more than 120 people have died and over 2 million homes and businesses remain without power across six states in the southeastern United States as a result of destruction caused by Hurricane Helene. Many more people are missing and officials fear the death toll may rise in the coming days.

The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada regularly recommends organizations to support where your gifts will make the most significant impact.   • All Hands and Hearts - Hurricane Helene Relief Fund
    • All Hands and Hearts is launching a 12-month response to Hurricane Helene. The organization is looking to raise $2 million to support the long-term recovery of these devastated communities.
    • Teams have been deployed to Florida and North Carolina
  • Americares is responding to urgent medical needs in the wake of Hurricane Helene
  • CARE Emergency Relief
    • The Atlanta-based nonprofit is collecting funds to provide essential supplies and long-term recovery support for families in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
