Women bear most of the care giving responsibilities

“Caregiving often calls us to lean into love we didn’t know possible.”

Women’s Heart Health

February is Women’s Heart Health month. Did you know that 75% of all unpaid family caregivers are female? What’s more, 36% of female caregivers handle the most difficult caregiving tasks (i.e., bathing, toileting, and dressing) when compared with 24% for their male counterparts. (National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP.) It’s critical for caregivers to consider the stress created by caregiving places on female caregiver heart health! Visit https://www.goredforwomen.org to learn more about heart health, symptoms of cardiac disease, and more to make sure you’re making time to care for yourself this month and every month!
