Community Endowment

Never Underestimate Your Power to Transform Our Community.

What is the Community Endowment?

The Community Endowment is the region’s first community-wide enduring charitable fund for all of us to nurture and build.
Every contribution will grow, every gift is meaningful, every grant addresses a pressing need.

Together, your gift, when combined over time with your neighbors’ and friends’ gifts, will grow to be a great philanthropic resource to meet pressing community needs. During tough times, the Community Endowment can be used to address unforeseen and critical issues, like COVID-19 relief. During good times, Community Fund grants can support area nonprofits’ innovative and valuable services. Created, invested, and managed by the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, the Community Endowment serves as an unending resource for good for our region.

2020 Grants Addressed Emergency Needs Arising from COVID-19

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada helped to lead the charge to determine how we as a community came together to help Northern Nevadan affected by the global emergency. The Community Foundation has voted to allocate all Community Fund grants for 2020 to address needs arising from COVID-19.

The impact of this unprecedented situation has had numerous effects; individuals, nonprofits, and businesses are in serious need of resources.
