Five northern Nevada nonprofits were awarded $52,627 on November 9 at the Partnership Grant Celebration at the Community Foundation of Western Nevada.
Domestic Violence Resource Center,
Note-Ables Music Therapy Services,
Urban Roots, and
Wells Family Resource Center, Wells, Nevada
were chosen for:
- Their grasp of the importance of evaluation
- The organization’s commitment to evaluation—and improving on what they are currently doing; commitment to learning how to evaluate and gather better data to improve programming further
- Demonstrating a clear plan for taking their evaluation to the next level
- Giving the selection committee a sense of confidence that they could do what they were proposing
This is the third and final year of a three-year Partnership Grant focus on evaluation. It is also the 12th and final year of the Partnership Grant program, which has distributed nearly $1.4 million to 103 different nonprofits in our region.
The Community Foundation’s annual discretionary grants will now be granted from the Community Fund which is primarily funded from the invested proceeds of the Community Endowment.
We are confident that future grants made from this Community Fund will be successful because of the good work that was done by the Partnership Grants Committee and the example they set over the many years of their service. Thank you to the Partnership Grant Committee volunteers.
