Marcie Iannacchione joined the Community Foundation in spring of 2022, as a part-time Scholarship Coordinator and was promoted to Human Resources Manager and Scholarship Coordinator in the fall.
The Scholarship Coordinator position was created in 2022 in response to the Community Foundation’s growing scholarship program. The Community Foundation currently administers more than 40 different scholarship funds.
Marcie coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Community Foundation’s scholarship program, from communicating with students, schools, and parents, to working with our various scholarship selection committees to tracking data and producing reports on applicant demographics.
Marcie has six years of experience as the Internship Program Coordinator at TMCC, which follows over 20 years in human resources management. She is currently active as a volunteer at Dress for Success of Northern Nevada. She was also a Salute to Women of Achievement Honoree with the Nevada Women’s Fund and a Leadership Reno-Sparks Graduate with the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce. She served as a past board member for Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada. Marcie was a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Soroptimist International of Truckee Meadows; and, finally, a volunteer at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
“I love helping students succeed in higher education, and I enjoy giving back to the community,” Marcie says. “Joining the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada as the Scholarship Coordinator is the perfect fit for me!”
She is a native Nevadan who graduated from Wooster High School and the University of Nevada, Reno. Marcie and her husband of 35 years, Carl, have an adult son and daughter, Marcus, and Camille; as well as four dogs, Sammy, Stella, Josie, and Frankie. “I absolutely love my dogs,” Marcie says, “and I believe ‘there is always room for one more!’” I enjoy Pilates and love planting flowers in my garden, as well as taking our Jeep out and looking at the beautiful Nevada scenery.
