Vic Bucher has been involved with the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada since 2020. He is a member of the Advisory Board serving on the Finance Committee.
Vic is a certified public accountant, and he founded a CPA firm in Yolo County, California, in 1976. He specialized in farm and commodity accounting, forensic accounting, and U.S. income and estate taxes. He previously worked as a forensic accountant for the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency with the Iraq Survey Group in Baghdad, Iraq, and Doha, Qatar. Vic has been involved with many charities, including Woodland Christian School, the Yolo County Elderly Nutrition Program, Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center, Yolo Crisis Nursery. He is currently the treasurer of the Rotary Club of Reno.
Vic brings his knowledge of reading financial statements, creating budgets, and auditing to the Community Foundation.
When you’ve had good fortune, you’re obligated to give back to the community, Vic says.
Vic has lived in Reno for seven years. He has two children and eight grandchildren. Vic enjoys traveling, hiking, and walking.
