Youth Network Initiative (YOU’N-I) began in 2014 a series of three community convenings to learn about the challenges faced by youth ages 18 to 24 who are homeless, runaway or aging out of foster care.

The Youth Network Initiative was led by a steering committee composed of caring adults and young people on the streets.

The Community Foundation is proud to have developed RenoYouthNetwork.comNVMentors.org and helped fund the Eddy House Youth Resource Center as outcomes from the Youth Network Initiative.

We are building the Village on Sage Street, a community of dorm-style rooms with community gathering spaces, a dining room and gym for a monthly rent of $400.  This bridge housing will be safe, supportive, and affordable for young people earning minimum wage.
