The Eddy House Youth Resource Center is a walk-in center in downtown Reno for homeless, runaway, foster, and other at-risk youth between the ages of 12 and 21. During the Community Foundation of Western Nevada’s public convenings, youth expressed the need for a safe place to spend time away from the streets. Lynette Eddy stepped up to open the Eddy House in response.
Open Monday-Friday from 10am to 5 pm, youth visitors at The Eddy House can access “care and comfort services” including showers, laundry vouchers, snacks, clothing, free wi-fi, cell phone charging, a tech lab, and the Chill Zone. The Eddy House is located at 423 East 6th Street accessible via RTC Bus 2 at the East 6th Street/Record Street stop.
