Chris Askin, President and CEO of the Community Foundation, will provide an update on the Foundation’s recent work, including impact investing, the Community Foundation’s new Community Housing Land Trust, and affordable housing initiatives. Nick Tscheeker, Director of Community Leadership, will also brief everyone on the launch of the financial abuse initiative.

Bret L. Simmons, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he teaches undergraduate, MBA, and Executive MBA courses in Organizational Behavior, Personal Branding, Social Business, and Evidence-Based Management. He is the organizer of TEDxUniversityofNevada and a dynamic and sought-after national speaker in his own right. We are excited to welcome Dr. Simmons to our CPP luncheon, where he will discuss various aspects of resourceful leadership—sometimes referred to as servant leadership—and the role that support for the community plays in developing resourceful leaders.
