Spirit of the Season

Is it too early to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and the best holiday ever? With the festivities already underway I’d like to join in and let everyone know how truly grateful I am. I am deeply and emotionally thankful for this incredible life, for the best friends and family a soul can have. I am grateful for my Community Foundation family, including an amazing staff, a dedicated and brilliant board, the generous fund holders and donors, community-minded professional advisors, and community partners, all of whom put helping others ahead of personal considerations. We serve together, and those in need are what drives us.  From what I have experienced and witnessed, those in need are our fuel.  They give us our drive, our determination, our ambition to bring real impact, real improvement, real life-changing help to our neighbors and fellow community residents. The time and treasure that we spend together in pursuit of these objectives represent the true meaning of Christmas.  Together we work humbly, sincerely, and passionately.  I could not be more proud of what we do together and what we will do as we continue to build our capacity. The Community Foundation of Western Nevada is merely a conduit, a collective, a representation of you and others in the Community.  Thank you for the great honor of your support and involvement.
