Teri Miller, CIMA® is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administration and HR for the Community Foundation, where she is responsible for overseeing, supporting, and tracking the organization's finances and investments. She is also tasked with leading the daily office operations and the Foundation's HR functions. With a commitment to caring for and growing the Community Foundation's assets and building strong relationships, Teri supports the Community Foundation's mission of connecting people who care with causes that matter.

Before joining the Community Foundation, Teri held the corporate director of finance/controller position at Carson Tahoe Health Systems. During her tenure, she provided invaluable financial leadership and decision-making support to executive and departmental leaders across the health system. Teri also has ten years of experience in the nonprofit sector as the director of administration and finance at the Iowa United Methodist Foundation, helping to double their assets during tough market conditions and strengthen their relationships by building trust with the churches they serve. She has also served in senior financial roles at Post Consumer Brands and Iowa Pacific Processors.

Teri received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from AIB College of Business. She has also earned her Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certificate from the Investments & Wealth Institute in 2023, and Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) in 2022, both through the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Teri and her family now reside in northern Nevada, where she enjoys a strong sense of community and opportunities to explore the great outdoors. When she's not working, you can find Teri hiking, gardening, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
