Pass on the gift of education.
A scholarship fund is your gift to the future.
Scholarships are a way to give that is:
Personal: You can establish a scholarship in honor or memory of a loved one, name it for yourself or your family or reflect a particular interest.
Enduring: Scholarship Funds are endowed funds.
Easy: You leave the IRS regulations regarding scholarships and the complicated administrative details to us. You set the selection criteria and may be involved in the selection committee. IRS Scholarship regulations are not easy. Even if you have a private foundation, as several of our fundholders do, consider making your scholarships through the Community Foundation of Western Nevada.
Full of Impact: Your gift will make a permanent impact on the lives of the students you touch. In turn, they are very likely to pass on the tradition of helping others when they are able.
Nevada has a history of raising great men from humble beginnings. The work world has grown global, and career tracks have changed. Our young people are no longer competing with those from the same school for good jobs. They are competing with well-trained job applicants from across the globe. Scholarships will help Nevadans get and keep the jobs they need to make a life for themselves and their families. Scholarships will keep our Nevada communities vibrant.
The initial contribution to establish an endowed scholarship is $50,000.
