Estipona Group Good Deeds Fund RFP for Nonprofits Serving Homeless Populations

This year we at the Estipona Group decided, as part of our #24Years24Deeds initiative, to establish the Good Deeds Fund through the Community Foundation of Western Nevada. The Fund will be dispersed in January 2018, after a full year of raising money through charity events like our Estipona Putt-Putt Classic, as well as contributions from company profits. And now is the exciting part: It’s time to determine which local non-profit this fund will help! Because we have focused on addressing homelessness in northern Nevada through many of our fundraising efforts, we have elected that these funds go to an organization that serves homeless communities in northern Nevada. If you are a local non-profit addressing this critical local need — or if you know someone working for such an agency — please read this and consider a nomination! Once all nominations are received, a five-person committee comprised of Estipona Group representatives and members of the community at large will determine who receives the funds, which will total at least $5,000. All nominations are due by Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. The nominee must hold a 501-c3 status to be eligible to win. A recipient will be awarded on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 and announced on all participating websites and social media. Additionally, the winner will be contacted directly. Good luck! And keep in mind: You must respond to the questions below, emailing them to info@nevadafund.org by the deadline in order to be considered.
  1. What is the name of the non-profit?
  2. What is a contact name/number/email?
  3. Please tell us, in no more than 250 words, why this non-profit should be selected.
  4. In no more than 250 words, what does this non-profit do to address homelessness in northern Nevada that no one else is doing?
Email your responses to all 4 questions above to: info@nevadafund.org. (Failure to answer any question may result in forfeiture.)
