Caregivers: Them is Us!

A week from Thursday we will be holding our second convening for the Caregiver Support Initiative to learn more about the struggles that our friends and family face when they, often suddenly, find themselves responsible 24/7 for the care of a family member. And guess what, them is us! We had no idea of the financial and emotional challenges so many in our community face, but now we’re learning and wow, are we glad we are focusing on the needs of caregivers. The Caregiver Initiative is not creating a plan of action. We are taking action.
The convening will be held at the Boys and Girls Club at 2690 E. 9th Street on October 20th from 9am to 12:30pm. Register online or call us at 333-5499. 93 people attended and they very glad they participated. Here is a quote from the 1st convening evaluations,

As we learn more, we can do more. On another note, we are rapidly heading towards the end of the year.
