- Help people suffering from chronic health conditions like diabetes, heart and respiratory diseases to control their conditions and prevent further health complications.
- Provide people with disabilities supplies and equipment needed to live and travel safely and independently in their own homes and communities.
C*A*R*E* Chest of Sierra Nevada is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free medical equipment and supplies to Northern Nevadans in need. Founded in 1990 by three Reno pharmacists as a grassroots effort to recycle medical equipment, C*A*R*E* Chest is a multi-service non-profit agency recognized by area hospitals, low-income clinics and social service agencies as a vital medical resource for Northern Nevada’s impoverished and underserved populations.
Each of C*A*R*E Chest’s medical resource programs targets a specific service gap in our area among low-income, uninsured and underinsured people. In 2012, we provided 9,276 client services, dispensing 14,366 medical items.By enabling Northern Nevadans access to medical supplies and equipment needed to remain healthy and independent, your gift will help build a stronger community of productive, self-sufficient individuals.
